How to cook great scrambled eggs
How to cook great scrambled eggs:
- buy eggs that have been laid by free range chickens, non caged chickens
- take the eggs out of the fridge at least an hour before you want to cook them -this prevents them being "shocked" when you add them to the hot pan
- use a non-stick pan
- cook with butter instead of oil - you only need a little butter
- heat the pan - use low heat
- gently melt the butter
- in a separate bowl whisk the eggs and add a small amount of milk, or yoghurt or you could add feta cheese
- adds egg mix to the pan
- pop down the toast, so it is ready about the same time as the eggs
- keep eggs moving in the pan as they cook, use a wooden spoon or spatula
- turn off the heat before the eggs are fully cooked - the heat of the pan will continue to cook the eggs
- serve hot with toast, or wholemeal pancakes
